Community Centre & Café

A Beacon of Hospitality
in the Heart of Brecon

St Mary’s has been part of Brecon’s life for centuries. Today, we are growing into a flexible community centre and café — a space of welcome, connection, creativity, and care for all.

Whether you are looking for a quiet cup of coffee, a friendly group to join, space for your organisation, or a place for reflection and prayer, you are warmly invited.

Community Café

Our volunteer-run Community Café is open: Wednesday to Friday mornings

We serve:

  • Fresh coffee and tea

  • Toast and biscuits

  • Homemade cakes and light refreshments

All items are available by donation. No one who can’t afford to pay will ever be turned away. The café exists to offer warmth, welcome, and community. Come in, sit down, and stay awhile.

Worship & Christian Learning (Tuesdays)

As a church at the heart of the community, prayer and worship remain central to our life. Tuesdays are devoted entirely to worship and Christian formation through prayer and study.

  • 11.00am – Holy Eucharist (followed by refreshments)

  • 2.30pm – Christian Meditation

  • 3.15pm – Bible Study

Whether you are exploring faith or have been part of church life for years, you are warmly invited.

A Community Centre in Development

We are currently developing St Mary’s as a flexible community hub as part of The Beacon Project.

If you are part of:

  • A local volunteer group

  • A charity

  • A civic or community organisation

  • A wellbeing or support initiative

and are looking for welcoming, central space in Brecon, we would love to hear from you.

Our aim is to provide affordable, accessible space that benefits the town and reflects our ethos of faith, hope, and love.

Please get in touch to start a conversation.
